Mind the Brain

An autistic savant, Stephen Wiltshire has the super power called the “human camera” by which he can sketch a skyscraper with exact number of windows and pillars after having just passed by with a casual glance in the direction of the building. Another well-known savant, Daniel Tammet can learn the most difficult of languages in a matter of days because to him numbers and alphabets have textures, shapes and colors. There are many similar living human beings with various super powers like ability to create a three dimensional wax model of a sprinting horse showing specific minutest details or ability to perform complex calculations without a calculator or a paper and pencil or ability to remember each and every happening of each and every day of their lives in detail etc.  So far I thought such powers could only be acquired as a result of a malfunction in the brain at birth until I met with someone who proved otherwise.
